About the Pastor

The pastor, Rev. Daniel Waite, has served at First Free Methodist since July 2oo1 and has served in the ministry since 1987.  Previously he served churches in lower Michigan, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Pastor Waite holds a Ph.D. in Pulpit Communications/Expository Preaching  from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburg IN, a Master in Arts in Religion in Christian Education from Asbury Seminary in Wilmore KY, and a Bachelor in Arts from Crown College in St. Bonifacius MI.

Pastor Waite recently celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife, Holly.  His son, Benjamin, attends Crown College in St Bonifacius, MN. On a nice evening, you may see him taking a walk with his wife and his lovable beagle.   

In his free time, Rev. Waite enjoys playing chess and volunteers teaching the high school chess team.  He is active with the Chippewa County Ministerial Association, likes to read books, and collects old books.  Near Christmas if you visit, you just might get a taste of his "famous fudge."
